AS SEEN THROUGH THE SOUL Personality Traits: [+] Calm - Vista usually keeps himself calm and composed, thinking things out rationally, though occasionally this can change. [+] Cunning - Vista is also cunning, using his intelligence to win over others to his cause so that he can undermine the activities of Shibusen. [+] Polite - Vista is also often polite, even to people he sees as enemies. However, just because he is polite, doesn't mean he has respect for people. [+] Ambitious - Vista has huge ambitions, particularly the desire to topple Shibusen. He remains confident in his abilities to do so and seeks the day he can make such desires reality. [+] Loyal - Despite some of his more horrific acts, Vista is remarkably loyal to those he enlists under him and does not rely on threats to keep them in line. In his eyes, there is no point bringing along those who would turn on him one day. He is also loyal to the sway of madness the new Kishin has brought about. [-] Erratic - Despite normally remaining calm, Vista can be very erratic during certain moods and sometimes can even turn violent. [-] Ruthless - When he does need to take action himself, Vista is ruthless in his approach and doesn't allow for any variables if he can help it. [-] Cruel - Vista is also very cruel, able to do horrific acts without a hint of care for who he hurts. [-] Deceptive - Vista is also a liar and will attempt to throw people into confusion through misinformation if he can help it. [-] Sarcastic - Though he is polite, this polite demeanor can sometimes come across as mocking towards his enemies and often he has managed to work subtle insults towards Shibusen Students and Staff in his speech with them. Though he tries to avoid them for the sake of his plans, he relishes in the times when he allows himself to cut loose. [✔] Lord Kishin. After all, he's hardly following Shinigami-Sama, is he? [✘] Sweets. Too sugary for him. [✘] Weakness. He won't accept being weak. [✘] Disloyalty. He'll cut down traitors. [✘] Boredom. It's the sign of a world without change or action. In other words, a world of order. [✘] Shibusen. He can no longer tolerate the rules and regulations they make people abide by. Notes: Wields a katana for when he has to fight. Was once a Shibusen Student, but left. Was swayed into madness by the Kishin's Madness Wavelength taking advantage of his desires. THE SECRETS I LET OUT Abilities: Jagan - The "Evil Eye", this functions by transmitting Soul Wavelength through the eyes, requiring eye contact. Vista is enabled to inflict upon his opponent a brief illusion spanning no more than a single post. This ability is useful for imposing a form of madess-induced attack on an opponent's psyche, but it has several drawbacks - in particular, pain can disrupt the illusion and a particularly strong Soul Perception can break through the illusion. As a result, it is usually only used for intimidation on weaker/weakened foes. Shigan - The "Death Eyes", this is Vista's only offensive eye power - this allows him to concentrate his Soul Wavelength into his eyes, which then release the power in a concussive beam. This beam can be reflected off of surfaces such as mirrors or the reflective metal of his katana. Issekigan - The "Discerning Eye", this enables Vista to see the Souls of others much like a Meister's Soul Perception. His version cannot see through a Witches' Soul Protect, but he is skilled enough to read an opponent's Soul with it, allowing him to discern their personalities at a glance. He can even tell if someone is lying through this power. Mugengan - The "Infinite Eyes", this creates numerous eye-like constructs that function much like security cameras, offering him numerous extra points of view. However, contrary to the name, this ability cannot create an infinite number, but at max can create ten. Sangan - The "Three Eyes", this opens a third eye which enhances the cognitive power of the eyes, allowing him to read an opponent's movements with perfect clarity and as a result, react faster. This can be mistaken for high-speed movement, but in actuality it isn't Vista moving faster, but sooner. Performance: For the most part when it comes to fighting, Vista's Kishin Egg abilities do not offer direct combat advantages and thus he relies almost solely on close combat. However, he is a dangerous enemy nonetheless, capable of taking advantage of his physical strength, speed and height advantages over other people. He seems to possess a wild, untamed style based on his instincts while under the effects of madness, but when he is calm he fights with form. If anything, he is erratic and his style varies depending on his mood. He often wields a katana to help defend against Meisters with their Weapons. His abilities do offer some combat advantages however. His Issekigan allows him to discern an opponent's soul and his Mugengan and Sangan both allow him to find the opponent when otherwise deceived. His Shigan makes him much more dangerous in combat and finally his Jagan is useful for attacking the opponent's psyche. However, this also leads to a few problems. Due to his highly erratic style, he abandons all form, meaning he is more likely to be injured in the process of taking risks. In addition, while fighting wildly he loses all pretense of tactics and relies on instincts. In addition, he has a problem with stamina due to his preference to stay out of fights, so while he is strong and fast, he has to end fights quickly to keep his advantages. He stared out into the distance and into the dark alleyways, his lips curled into a smirk. A brief chuckle escaped him, but he held it back in check. This was Death City. This was the center of the world, where people from all backgrounds gathered to serve Shinigami-sama. To become Weapons, destined to become Death Scythes wielded by him, or Meisters, foot soldiers fighting the battle outside of Death City where Shinigami-sama could not go. They were all the servants of order, working to keep this chaotic world in check and drive out the existence of Kishin Eggs and Witches - the kinds of beings who would disrupt the order of the world. But that in itself brought up a question - Why is it that an organization such as this one would fail to stop the arrival of a new Kishin when Asura had died? "The answer is simple" the young man upon the rooftops spoke to himself, chuckling darkly still. "Shibusen may claim to be the balance that keeps madness in check, but little by little their authority has begun to shake. Shinigami-sama no longer has the power to stop the influence of Lord Kishin - Nay, he doesn't even have the power to leave the city. He is but a pathetic shell of the being he once was, a terrifying and powerful deity, now little more than a Headmaster for a school of would-be warriors! Were I not the enemy, I would pity him. He's become powerless, whereas even I, by embracing this madness, have found great power. The winds are changing, Shibusen. Someday soon, the world will change and madness shall reign free, uncontrolled, just as it should be". His prophetic words resounding in the air around him, he licked his lips as he anticipated the day when Shibusen would be gone, left as only a reminder of the order that had once prevailed before anarchy took hold of the world. Nostalgia, and nothing more. The figure upon the rooftop turned and began to make his way back down from where he had climbed up. He was hungry for a meal and he desired power. It was time to begin another hunt and take another soul. He desired a feast. He'd already gained such power, now he wanted even more. Until he knew he could stand by Lord Kishin's side, ready to finally wipe out the existence of Shibusen. He could practically taste Shinigami-sama's soul. That would be the most satisfying.
