IT SEEMS TO ESCAPE ME Name: True name is currently unknown. Alias: Memento Mori, Silence's Shadow, Mori e.c.t. Gender: Male. Age: Presumed to be in late 80's - possess long life as time no longer applies to him (see abilities). Theme: Time.
AS SEEN THROUGH THE SOUL Personality Traits: [+] Placid. [+] Polite. [+] Analytical. [+] Easygoing. [+] Reserved.
[-] Sarcastic. [-] Unquestionably evil. [-] Lazy. [-] Callous. [-] Depressing to be around.
Likes & Dislikes: [✔] Literature. [✔] Historic landmarks. [✔] Lord Kishin. [✔] Small spaces. [✔] Small animals.
[✘] People who are either loud, obnoxious or claim to be in a hurry. [✘] Memories. [✘] Shibusen. [✘] Being teased. [✘] Idiots.
Notes: mr frowneh face fun little facts;
- Mori is an avid follower of the Kishin and the madness it emits, almost to the point of worship.
- It is unknown what started Mori down the path of a demon, but whatever it was it certainly drove him to insanity, and whenever his past is mentioned his anger can't help but flare up.
- Memento Mori means 'Remember your mortality', or 'Remember you will die' in Latin.
THE SECRETS I LET OUT Abilities:- Time Crunch -
Basically what the name implies; by concentrating his Soul Wavelength and projecting it at an opponent, Mori can quite literally slow them down, thus leaving any unsuspecting bystander open to attack. However, while this move can be used multiple times in a row, it's lasting affects range from only five to six seconds (one post in role-play land).
- Hurry-Scurry -
The opposite of Time Crunch, but preformed on himself. Mori can boost his physical performance by forcing his body into releasing extra amounts of adrenaline. This move is quite tricky to control, but if used affectively can enhance his speed for the best part of ten minutes (three or four posts).
- Time's Deception -
A hallucinogenic based move that forces the receiver to envision the same horrific nightmare over and over again. In reality the ability only lasts a few seconds (one or two posts) yet it can feel like hours to whomever it is placed on. However, Time's Deception is primely used to confuse and is not an offensive attack. Mori would only ever use it if he wanted to run away or simply scare someone.
Note; The nightmare seen depends on what kind of person it's cast on; for instance, if said person was afraid of arachnids than a giant spider would most likely appear to be attacking them.
- Clockwork Requiem -
One of two sword based moves, Clockwork Requiem is nowhere near as powerful as Defying Infinity and isn't as daunting as the name implies. By pumping some of his Soul Wavelength into the blade of his beloved katana, Mori can deliver a rushed attack that could easily cleave a person in two. But even this is not without it's downsides; because the move requires a lot of his energy, it can only be used once in battle and isn't that difficult to dodge. Of course, if a block is attempted then Mori can release his Soul Wavelength and give whatever is stopping him something that feels similar to a Soul Purge.
- Defying Infinity -
The secret to the Kishin's seemingly perpetual youth; by murdering a person, Mori can, in essence, 'purge' them of the time they have spent on earth and absorb the time they haven't by... well... eating what's left of them. To do this, the the target must be killed by his blade and his blade only, anything else and it simply wouldn't work. The number of innocents he has destroyed is evident by the many years he has been alive...
Note; Defying Infinity in NO WAY enhances Mori's physical, magical or even mental performance - it doesn't make him immortal, it simply grants him longer life.
Performance: [+] Good at defending and blocking. [+] Quick thinker. [+] Strong. [+] Moderately agile. [+] Is calm and collected, difficult to anger.
[-] Weak at attacking. [-] Really slow. [-] Is the latter of the 'Fight or Flight' instinct. [-] Unmotivated. [-] Just... doesn't bother. [-] Hand to hand combat.
When in combat Mori utilizes a variety of techniques to either stun or confuse his opponent, and never directly faces an enemy full on, instead taking a more cowardly approach by using surprise to his advantage. Although, most of this depends on if Mori can even even be bothered in the first place, as his lazy personality often deters him from engaging in long winded battles with blood-thirsty Mesiters. But, if it did boil down to a fight, then Mori would wield his katana rather than his demonic powers, as he is an expert when it comes down to defensive and protective maneuvers, something that a weapon like the sword is perfect for enhancing.
