WITCH
[/font]Image of Medusa
Name: Medusa Gorgon
Alias: Maddie (Familiars only)
Gender: Female.
Age: 927
Animal: Snake
AppearanceMedusa is a relatively tall woman with an average physical build, and a large dotted snake tattoo winding down either arm. Her facial features consist of eyes containing yellow irises and black pupils, and blonde hair arranged in a spiked style, with two prominent spikes extending downwards framing either side of her face, that twist to entwine each other so as to rest upon her chest. While she wears many outfits over the course of the series, the most notable and common of these is a black body-length hoodie, which extends downwards to her knees, giving it the appearance of a dress. The hood itself is adorned with an eye-like marking upon either side, which interestingly, when worn in addition to the shape of her hair, gives it the apperance of a snake's mouth, with teeth and fangs. Medusa has a tail which is shaped like an arrow. It is notable that she is always barefoot, when not in disguise, with unique toenail polish that is black featuring yellow arrows pointing upwards.
Personality: Medusa is both a very manipulative and deceptive person, much like the snake is commonly depicted as in various beliefs. She has a tendency to use people to her benefit, and she can be very apathetic. She is somewhat violent, and can be a little sadistic. For example, she controls Eruka and stands on her just for the comfort of her feet. Much like Dr. Stein, she sees everyone as an experiment, and she uses them to further her plan in any way she sees fit. She doesn't seem to care for anyone's well-being except her own. She strongly dislikes her sister, and would go as far as to betray her again and leave her to die. It is hard to tell whether or not she has feelings for people, and so far the only person that has been revealed that she shows affection toward is Franken Stein. Even still, she likes to use him and she would kill him if it was what was best for her. She doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor, and sometimes she can be very boring. However, she makes up for her boring manners with her sometimes appealing nature, as to some, she can come off as a sweet woman, even when she's not. It is unknown if she can feel love, as she never loved her sisters. The closest to feelings shown by her is that she is known to harbor feelings for Franken Stein, and other than that, she mainly feels apathy for others, especially Crona. As she doesn't care for Crona's health, only that she wants her child to become a Kishin, so she doesn't allow Crona to be killed. She strongly dislikes her sister, and believes that, like spiders, Arachne should be killed.
History: As a child, Medusa resided with her two other Gorgon sisters. Arachne, the eldest, and Medusa shared a sibling rivalry, as all sisters do. Medusa was always jealous of her because she was older and had more liberties than she. Not only that, but she developed her powers more quickly than Medusa, and Medusa always thought Arachne was prettier than her, which was something she didn't like.
As the two got older, the rivalry grew more into tension between the two, and the occasional friendship between them slowly went away. Medusa disliked Arachne's power source-the spider. Medusa's belief was that spiders were hideous creatures that should be killed. She didn't have any love in her heart for her sister, and soon the two were nothing but related, no love or feelings for one another.
Around 100 years later, Arachne created the first Demon Weapon. Soon Medusa's sister was hunted by witches and Shinigami himself. In order to keep her power authority, she aided her sister in trying not to get killed, yet she never really got over the tension between the two. Finally, Shinigami and Arachne started their battle. This is when Medusa took the opportunity to be rid of her sister forever. When she was given the chance, she left the fight, leaving her sister to perish.
At first she felt a slight tinge of guilt for leaving her sister to die, but it was quickly replaced with relief that she was gone from her life forever.
Over the course of the next few hundred years, she didn't do much. She just practiced her spells, adjusted the quirks, made them better, and practiced on innocent humans and inexperienced witches. Soon she met Eruka, who she implanted snakes into. She then forced Eruka to serve her, and later instilled a growing fear inside her for Medusa.
Later on, she had a child, named Crona. Her real intentions for the child was to turn it into a Kishin, as she did not actually love Crona. When Crona was a toddler, she exchanged Crona's blood for the melted down black blood of Ragnarok. Crona was instructed by Medusa to kill small animals, trying to build a base of madness for the potential Kishin. For years, Medusa tempted the madness within Crona to slaughter for the sake of consuming souls. Only later to have Crona turn against her.
Then she began taking the alias of the school nurse at Death Academy. She acted like a good, motherly woman who was very supportive of all and kind. However, her true intention was to be near to the Kishin. This was when she met Dr. Franken Stein. AT first she didn't feel anything toward him, but soon she developed feelings for him, as the two shared an interest in science and doing things they shouldn't.
They began to get closer, although Medusa knew that soon enough the facade would be revealed and the fake life would come crashing down. Her feelings continued to grow, and at the Anniversary ball, the two danced together and almost shared a kiss.
Once her identity was revealed, Stein and Medusa began to fight. It was long and both were hurt. Finally, Stein managed to seemingly kill her, nearly breaking her heart.
Later, she appears as a snake and posesses the body of a young girl named Rachel Boyd. Medusa goes, in the form of a child, to confront her sister Arachne, who had really never died.
Arachne questions her on her true motives behind the visit but very little emerges before Medusa turns to leave. This appears to provoke everyone to prepare for a confrontation, however, the meeting ends relatively calmly and Medusa is accompanied out by a masked member. It's at this point that the person is revealed to be none other than Eruka, who had previously infiltrated the organization under Medusa's orders, along with the other members of her group.
Medusa presents herself again later, in a darkened corner of Death City and in the middle of the night, to a very shocked Crona. She exchanges pleasantries by claiming she was not only worried about Crona, but also missed her child. However, the conversation quickly changes as the true motivation behind the contact emerges and Medusa requests that Crona to spy on Shibusen, using her position as a mother to play on Crona's insecurities and entice agreement
Later on, Maka manages to kill Medusa, and she remains dead for a while before being resurrected by fellow witches, including the ever-faithful Eruka. She stayed in hiding for a few weeks before announcing to the witches that she is back.

**I got the information from Soul Eater Wikia**
Performance: Medusa's strengths and weaknesses vary depending on the fight. Her main strength, spell wise, is Vector Plate, as she can use it when she needs to escape, or to launch the opponent toward an attack. Her weakness, spell wise, is Vector Blade, as she isn't a trained swordswoman so the combat is somewhat alien to her and she isn't as good. Fighting in the dark is a strength of hers as well, as she uses her Vector Plates to send the opponent wherever she wants with less notice. Another weakness is Stein, as she still harbors some feelings for him, and it is harder for her to try and fight him.

RP Sample: Medusa sat on her broom, overlooking Death City. Somewhere out there, somewhere, Arachne was, alive once again, just like her. Then somewhere out there Stein was, alive as he always was. Everything seemed different now that she was back. "Nothing ever stays the same though." She muttered to herself, pulling her hood over her hair and looking out over the horizon-the dark blue of the night making all the silhouettes black blotches against the skyline.
She stretched her toes and tugged at the long, silken hair going down her chest. She didn't know whether she was coming or going in hours like this. So many people, so little time for them all. She couldn't tell whether she should trust her sister in the madness, or attempt to be rid of her. She slowly neared the ground and walked along the warm pavement of the hot night.
She rubbed her arms as she walked, looking down to the snake-like tattoos dotted along her slender arms. "If there were any time I wanted to see someone, it would be now." She sighed, thinking about the few people over her lifetime she could talk to. She could name them on her hand, and two of them didn't really want anything to do with her. She shook her head, she wouldn't let it get to her, she had to keep her head held high and her awareness up. She was a witch walking the streets of Death City.
Although, what did she have to worry about? She was powerful, feared my many, even respected by other witches and people of power. What more could she want?
