It was yet another bright day in Death City and another chance to find a meister. Arcadia was growing near close to quitting her search and dropping from the academy due to not being successful. What was probably stopping her was a fragment of hope, her step father, and the fact she had to much pride to drop like a failure. So, plan B was to just stop searching. Maybe then someone would come to her instead.
With this decision decided, Arcadia simply continued her casual stride. She barely glanced around anymore and instead kept her focus forward. It seemed as though she were zoning out all of a sudden when actuality she was quite okay and fully aware of her surroundings. With a book in hand, she figured that for break she would go outside and read near the base of the academy.
Stepping outside, Arcadia stepped out of the artificially lit academy and felt the warm sun bare down on her face. She raised a hand as though to block out its light for a moment before turning her attention to a group of people nearby. There were a few meisters with their weapons talking to a teacher. She caught on that they would be fighting soon and decided to avoid that area; turning towards her left and making her way down the stairs. Eventually she would find a patch in the shade to sit down and start reading. This way she could at least focus on something else aside from a meister and quite possibly cease the feeling of neglect in her heart.

Shiro had been watching the fights and got bored so he took his skate board and skated off away from them. It was a nice day out so he was shirtless and wearing a black pair of jeans with the belt hanging slightly off his waist. He smirked as he japan aired the first set of stairs landing next to a girl reading a book. He got off his board and snuck up behind her looking over her shoulder. He could barely make out the tiny words in the book from here so he leaned in closer. He leans forward resting a hand on her shoulder while holding his Skate board in the other hand. He still couldn't make out the words in the book but that didn't bother him all that much.
He had seen this girl before but couldn't quite remember where. He paused for a sec and attempted to think where. Then it came to him she was in his class here at the academy. Class was cut early today due to the fights happening in the court yard. He smirked before walking in front of her and introducing himself. "Sup, I'm Shiro a Meister here at the academy!" he smirked before asking " Who might you be though?" He asked with a smile on his face his piercing ice blue eyes staring at her. He intended to give a friendly gesture and hoped he was giving off that vibe and not one that would scare or intimidate her. " I have seen you in class but have never got a chance to introduce myself or meet you." he continued to smile warmly at her as he extended his hand out to offer a hand shake.

A yawn escaped Arcadia as she continued to read her book. She fought against the tiny tears which had formed as she turned a page and continued reading. When the tears started to run a bit down her face she wiped them away with her arm and continued reading. She couldn't understand why she was so tired all of a sudden. Maybe this book was boring after all or she was trying so hard to read she was boring herself. She wasn't entirely sure but she still tried to focus on the print anyway.
A few good minutes passed before she sank into the pages. She anticipated more and more from the plot as she read rather fast. By then the rest of the world seemed to fade out. She was so zoned in that someone could set a bomb off beside her and she probably would not notice. One thin that could break her concentration though was a disturbance from someone touching her; which is basically what happened.
Arc failed to realize someone had been hovering ever so closely to her. She could basically feel the said person's breath down her back by the time she noticed; giving her chills and also a strong sense of irritation. Shifting from her irritation on her face to her first wall; she soon peered up at the person with a very confused look of innocence. Had he knew who she was he could clearly see this facial appearance was a lie. But seeing as how they just met; he would probably need to peer straight into her soul to see what truly lied beneath.
"Um, hello?" she said quietly, continuing to stare until she blinked twice. It was then he stepped around to stand before her. He then introduced himself casually as he kept a very calm and mostly cool appearance to him. He didn't even seem to act cool, it were as though it came natural. Tilting her head lightly at the mentioning of a meister though, she kept her confused and blank appearance. However, her thoughts read otherwise.
'A meister? Really? Figures the moment I stop trying one truly DOES come to you. Maybe he will be my meister, or maybe I should stop worrying. Truthfully...I need to see what he's all about first...'
"Oh, my name is Arcadia Kinzoku," she said after a moments pause, "i'm a weapon here at the academy."
She was staring right into his piercing blue hues while continuing to keep hers guarded. Basically she wished to see through to him without him seeing through her. It was an act of self defense until she could learn to trust him better. She took the hand shake to not seem so weird; her own shake seeming a tad bit strong compared to her current vibe she gave off.
"And I believe I recall seeing you as well, but likewise I never spoke up. I suppose...I'm usually a quiet person..ish heh", okay, now she was acting plain awkward. Maybe she could throw her own questions in. She just hoped she didn't turn him away due to her false nature.
"So what brings you over here?" she asked with a little more confidence. Arcadia still sat on the ground before him. Except now her book was closed with a bookmark and laying at her side. The title, in black lettering, saying "By the Light of the Moon". Had he known Dean Koontz's literature he would then probably get a grasp on what she enjoyed reading. Which, may or may not mean a thing in the long run.

He was surprised when she reached out and shook his hand. He Leaned his board against the wall before sitting down in front of her with one leg stretched out leaving his right knee up to rest a arm on his knee. "So your a weapon eh arc?" He smiled at her warmly again letting his head rest against the concrete wall behind him as though he was deep in thought. He looked Arc over giving her the once over as most people would call it. The wind picked up and started to blow his hair around slightly. It felt good on his skin so he closed his eyes for a minute soaking up what he could of it.
He looked at her for several seconds before speaking. " So I don't have a weapon, And from the looks of things you don't have a Meister so...." he paused blushing ever so slightly before speaking once more " How would you like to be my partner?" He asked her in a almost silky smooth but determined voice. His ice blue eyes attempting to read inside of her to figure out who she truly was. He smiled to himself realizing from how she had acted already that this would probably shock her. Make it to the point that she was utterly speechless and turned red. Shiro got a vibe off her that she was shy, but this could of been her playing the shy and innocent spiel. However he would find out sooner or later who she really was if she said yes to his proposal.

She continued to study him carefully as she watched him sit down. He seemed to relax against the wall and keep his cool; causing her to tilt her head. Seeing as how he seemed so relax and open she decided to chill at least a little. Her uptight overly confused innocence died down a bit as she rested her crossed arms over hers crossed legs; slightly leaning forward. She could see he was curious of her as well which only sparked her interest all the more. Where was his weapon? Maybe...just maybe she could be-
" So I don't have a weapon, And from the looks of things you don't have a Meister so....", she saw him blush a little as her face began to turn into that of shock. Her eyes widened, her cheeks somewhat blushed, and she stared with amazement. The next question of course only made her want to literally freak out.
Instead of jumping to her feet, screaming, or anything of the sort she simply let her shocked expression die down as she smiled from ear to ear. She continued to hold that blockade in her eyes; seeing as how they had a long way to go from acquaintance level to that of a friend. But when she noticed he was trying to pierce the veil she held and read back, she shot a bit of challenging glance and what seemed to be a little more confidence.
"I've been searching for a meister for what seemed like forever. To spare you of a story though, I would love to be."
She continued to grin from ear to ear as she gazed back into the piercing blue hues. Now it was her pushing back to read as she slightly unveiled her emotions. Thing was he would mostly see complexity. She seemed rather kind, generous, etc but at the same time there was the mark of an intense feeling of power, stubborness, etc. She believed she would prove to be an interesting weapon to bond too. Her main question tough was who was this fellow?
Letting the glimpse fade she then closed her eyes and smiled again, "so now what do we do?"

He laughed slightly at her reaction, She was not that mysterious after all. He gave her a once over once more. When she didn't looked dazed or confused she could be kinda cute. He smirked at this. She was somewhat normal or at least she appeared to be. From what he could read from her anyways. The wind blew again causing him to shiver slightly. He removed the book bag from his back and pulled out a shirt . The shirt was a ordinary shirt it was black with some sort of skate logo on it. He quickly slid the shirt on and leaned back against the concrete wall. "That's better!" he smiled warmly.
As he did so he heard the words " ...I would love to be!" escaped Arcs lips. He was stunned he hadn't expected her to say yes or even talk to him in the first place. He blushed slightly before looking up at her with somewhat softer eyes then he had before. They had some what of a gentle feel too them. "Really? Are you sure?" he asked excited slightly by the prospect by not only having a weapon but a partner someone he could later call a friend. He smiled again before standing up and looking around. "Let's take a walk?" he suggested as he grabbed his skate board and put it on the board holder on the back pack he wore.

She watched his face and couldn't help but chuckle when he blushed. She never expected this day to come for a long time but she was wrong; and glad of it. Instead of asking herself a gazillion questions again though she figured she would brush the thoughts aside and focus on getting to know her potential new meister. If he was going to wield her they needed to get a long to where he could not only wield but they had potential to grow. She wanted a legit partner that wanted that same drive as she had. Maybe...just maybe..she could become a death scythe.
Once again she stopped herself from getting to far ahead as she directed her attention back to Shiro. By then she had nodded when he asked if she were sure and had stood up at the mentioning of taking a walk. Oddly enough she didn't even care he was shirtless when usually she might frown upon that. It may not have been so much of a personal interest, seeing as how they just met and all, but it sure was weird that she was so comfortable. Her thoughts were starting to get ahead of herself again. In short, she seemed to dream big a lot. Much like that student known as Black Star. Except she was calm and quiet about it.
"Soo...." she said after a moment's silence, "what are your hobbies?" 'Such a lame question to ask' she thought as she steered her attention away for a second, 'i am terrible at keeping conversations!' She soon turned her attention back to wait for anything he may have to say. So far her only calculations were that he enjoying skating, had a curious personality, and was the calm, cool, and collective type. In a sense she was too aside from that burning inner drive. Could he really handle her ambitious nature?
The chilly wind caused her to shudder a bit. Its breath picking at her long brown hair, which was neatly tied behind her with a red ribbon, and causing her black skort like attire to flutter some.

As the wind blew he caught a glimpse of white through her skirt he shook his head lightly in disbelief before mentioning. " You have a hole in your Skort." He said rubbing the back of his head lightly like he was embarrassed or being shy. He kinda looked away blushing a bit before saying " There white!" and looking down at the ground and trying not to turn pink. He had been thinking of what he actually did that he considered a hobby when nature went and dropped that bombshell on him . He couldn't focus right now considering he had just caught a glimpse of white lace under that skort. After all she was cute and what guy in there right mind wouldn't want to know what color they were. He turned an even brighter shade of pink. He couldn't look her in the eye he was too embarrassed too.
"Looks like you let your ass overload your mouth this time." he thought as he tried to figure out some way to not make this situation anymore awkward then it already was. "Hobbies, I read, skateboard, practice sword play, and watch anime." he said before asking "You?" he was trying to defuse this utterly awkward situation by taking both there minds off the incident. He was still a bright pink but it was slowly fading from his cheeks as he was able to look her in the eyes now. Before he could only look at the ground or away in embarrassment. He looked at her quietly waiting for some form of response to this whole situation.

She tried to remain casual until he mentioned the hole in her skirt. This made her face go completely blank with expression before her lips grew tight, eyes widened, and her cheeks grew bright red. She was about to go into high panic mode as she tried to find the hole as soon as possible. Her hands covered the hole when she found her, her eyes just barely glancing at Shiro before her face fell to the ground. He was just as pink as she was. 'How could I not have noticed this earlier!? Really Arc! REALLY!?'
She tried to walk a little but it was rather awkward holding a hand randomly over your side. She then stopped and moved her skort around as she tried to cover up the hole. "Don't look" she said in a partial squeaky voice as she moved her skort around, pulled the short portion down, and did her best to cover the hole. Eventually, after a few seconds, you could just see black material from he skirt or occasional skin but nothing too revealing. Lucky for her the hole wasn't too big. How careless could she be?! At least he seemed fairly okay with it though and didn't run off.
'How embarrassing....' she thought, a grim look on her face as stared up towards the skin. She had walked forward to stay somewhat in front of him as she blew steam from her panic mode. She was calming back down as she took a few breaths and huffed them out. Inside she was basically raging at herself but she knew that after a while it would pass, right? She justed needed to calm back down. Luckily his words saved her.
As he explained his hobbies, she slowed down a bit to where she could walk by him again. She tried to block what just happened out of her mind and move forward. Luckily he had the same idea. Due to the way the situation was just handled though she could admit feeling a tad closer. Now hopefully she wouldn't mess up again and miss few details!...without acting like Death the Kidd....
"Ah well, I like to read too. I enjoy watching anime, training, and studying. Anything to gain knowl- wait...swordplay?"
She stopped what she was saying as yet another smile crossed her face. It was perfect that he was a sword handler and as a demon weapon she was a sword. Maybe there was some hope after all.
"Lucky us I happen to be a sword as a demon weapon."
By now she could actually look him in the eyes again; a fragment of embarrassment still there but actually beginning to dwindle. Once more, some emotion showed beyond the veils but this wouldn't last long. At least not until they were basically on best friend status. This may take days though...
