WITCH
[/font]Name: Parvana Etain
Alias: Vain
Gender: Female.
Age: 735 (appears somewhere between 16 and 18)
Animal: Butterfly.
Appearance: Click
She has white hair, and very pale skin as shown. Her eyes are a vibrant gold color, and her lips a yellow-gold color to match. She is short and thin with a tempting body-type. She is around 5 feet 1 inch in height, with weight around 115 to 117 pounds. Her complexion looks to be flawless as it is just slightly darker than the white of her hair. Her eyes always seem to look wide and innocent, as if she was begging for attention. She is very open about being a witch, so she always dresses as such-a short black dress with yellow bows and a hat with yellow bows as well, much to resemble a Monarch butterfly. To add to that, just below her chest she has a tattoo of a small butterfly on the side of her torso. It's completely black, and the shape of it seems to resemble her ability Flighty Attack. It is rarely ever seen, as she doesn't expose that part of her body much, as down her spine she has a single pink scar, and she thinks of it as an imperfection and mark of ugliness.
Personality: Parvana, as innocent or subtle as she seems, is quite the contrary. She is known for her random outbursts of pure anger, and is easily frustrated. She is very impatient, and has a tendency to break things in her path when she feels that she has waited too long. She is always smiling, whether it be a devious smrik or a dreamy glazed over kind of grin. Occasionally she takes things too seriously and will often overreact.
Parvana is continuously having mood swings, as she has for nearly 500 years. At one moment she could be laughing and seemingly tame, and the next she could be crying on the floor-threatening anything or anyone attempting to come close to her. At times, she will be flirty and try to attract the attention of men, yet it doesn't always work out. She likes to go wherever she pleases and whenever. She also likes to travel to warmer areas when it gets cold. Rarely does she eat, and she has a tendency to eat flowers when sick or plainly out of boredom.
Vain, as she has been called before, can sometimes be slightly vain. She takes pride in retaining her youthful appearance. She is also easily lost, so she rarely travels on foot, which could also lean to that she can be somewhat lazy. She can be a bit sadistic, and even come off slightly insane yet she's far from insanity. She's analytical and determined to always come out the best.
Not only that, but she also strives for perfection, and she believes that she can overcome anything with the right amount of power and determination. She looks to men in different ways, depending on their power.
History: Nearly 740 years ago, a young witch came into the world. Her name was Parvana, meaning butterfly, as her mother-like figure had an obsession with insects. Her "mother" was a relatively normal witch for her class, and her power source was the moth. Parvana was raised in a relatively destructive household, as Moth, as she called the woman, could never stop screaming and breaking things. By the time Parvana was 7 months old, all the windows in their home were completely broken-along with every doorknob. Moth treated her much like a neglected pet-leaving her alone most of the night to fend for herself as she went about her life. However, Parvana learned to cope by throwing temper tantrums directly before her mother left to put her in an awful mood to ruin her night.
Around the age of 9, Parvana began to go out on her own and adventure about-slowly discovering her true self and developing destructive qualities like Moth. The two started going out at opposite times of the day-Parvana in the morning, and Moth at night, which could have been because of their opposite power sources. The two fought constantly, yet there was always a mother-daughter bond and somewhere inside her, Parvana cared for her somewhat crazed "mother".
However, her mother was never a strong fighter and a little stupid. So naturally it was no surprise in her society when she was murdered soon after Parvana turned 15. To Parvana, though, it was devastating. She never saw so much blood in her entire life. In a way it changed her outlook on everything. How could she ever learn to become a powerful witch without someone to guide her?
Yet, Parvana being Parvana, she got over it, like all witches do. It was just a small dent in her ego, nothing was going to tear her down. Now she began to focus on her tactics and her appearance. She didn't want to known as an ugly witch for all of eternity, after all. Besides, she wanted to stay pretty, fearful that she would turn out fat and wrinkled like Moth. She began to dress differently-showing off more of her features. She dressed in a short, outfit with long boots, and a cute hat to accent her hair and eyes.
Yet this wasn't enough for her, she wanted to be one of the prettiest and most desirable women around. She forced another witch to hex her broom, so that butterflies would come out from her broom and hover around her. Of course she loved her power source, she thought butterflies were the most beautiful creatures on the planet.
She became a nomad-traveling from place to place whenever she pleased. She got a somewhat bad reputation, as she had killed a few innocent bystanders to a fit of her own impatience with herself. However, she didn't pay much mind to them because she had dealt with death before and she had grown to laugh in it's face.
She had her first encounter with a meister at around 100 years old. The fight was long, and both lost blood and energy, but in the end she managed to escape with her life, and leave the other begging for mercy. After this run-in, she went into hiding for nearly 200 years to gain back all of her energy and to sharpen her skills, she thought of the fight as an embarassment and a bad mark to her beauty.
Not soon after she came out, she had encounters with other witches. She was such an angry woman at the time she constantly attacked anyone who got around her, and she rarely won as most of the witches had at least 200 years senior on her.
During the next 200 years or so, she developed a mellow attitude toward those older than her. She learned to bite her tongue and take out her anger on items rather than others. She had tried to start a relationship with a suitor of hers, and it was going quite smoothly. He was a Death Scythe, so she felt somewhat secure that he wouldn't try to kill her and he was a good ally to have if she was ever attacked. The relationship didn't last long, as he eventually turned on her and she was forced to kill him in order to save herself. It was definitely the worst time in her life, as she hasn't really felt the same about anyone since that incident.
She soon changed her attitude toward everyone. She looked down on anyone, and always prepared for the worst when around beings with great amounts of power. Still very flighty, she would sometimes get lost within her own thoughts, and then lash out to anyone near her. Now she is more flirtatious, as she can't trust anyone.
Mantra: Flit, Float, Flee, Monarch Anarchy
Spells/Abilities: This part of the profile details what your witch can do. Each spell must follow your specific animals theme. The abilities all witches start out with are: Soul Protect, Flight, Spiritual Flexibility, Longevity.
- Fade Into The Wings - This power is mainly used for camouflage, as a butterfly's wings are usually adapted to blend with the environment to hide from hunters. This ability is very easy and doesn't drain very much energy.
- Airborne Poison - This ability manifests butterflies from the toxins in the air-creating a deadly gas that, if inhaled, could kill or paralyze the victim. This is more costly on her energy, so she doesn't use it as freely as Fade Into The Wings. To escape, one would just have to hold their breath, as the toxins lose their strength in around 45 seconds, or go underwater.
- Butterfly Kisses - This is a relatively common ability Parvana uses. She sends small spikes into the air that pricks the skin, mirroring the sensation of a butterfly landing on the person. It can temporarily paralyze or cause the victim disorientation or blurred vision. She uses this mainly when some form of physical weapon is about so she doesn't completely drain her energy using her abilities. Routes of escape could be deflecting the spikes with a blade, or coating exposed skin in dirt or another substance.
- Flighty Attack - This is her most powerful ability, and she uses it only when necessary. It begins with the simple illusion of a dark shadow of a butterfly hovering over the victim, and as it progresses the shadow manifests into a huge mass of toxins and thornes. It will slowly wrap itself around the victim, the mass feeling like tar as it sticks to the victim. The thornes that were absorbed into the mass slowly wrap around the victim and the gases release, causing sudden illness. Once this has occured the mass will seem to disappear into the ground-giving the victim a sense that it's over and they are safe, but then the butterfly-now a solid form-charges directly at the victim and uses the thorns to slash the victim into a bloody mess. This attack is rarely used, and often fizzles out before the final stages. This is somewhat easy to escape from if they can run fast enough, as the shadow can't chase them. If their soul is powerful enough, it can break through the mass. Or if they cut/shoot through it just as it descends, it can lose most of it's strength.
- Monarch Melee - This is used when she is fleeing or too injured to continue. She sends out a diversion of millions of butterflies to confuse the other while she escapes.
Performance:Parvana's strengths include combat in open, grassy areas, as she can extract toxins from the ground and it is easier for her to maneuver through the grass, and warm weather. It seems to be when she is in a warm climate, her spells are more accurate and deadly. Her weaknesses are rocky combat areas, as she isn't very good at maneuvering around the rocky surfaces to get to the other person, and her attacks sometimes cant extract the necessary toxins from rocky areas, and cold weather, as it makes her sluggish and less focused, not only that, but she has a very hard time fighting in the dark or night. She is very analytical and shows no mercy when she fights. She continues on until she thinks she can't do much anymore. She also likes to leave large amounts of blood.
Her main strength is to use Butterfly Kisses, as she considers it the easiest to use, and it buys her more time. She us also good at buying time when she is given the chance. Her worst attack is possibly Fade Into The Wings, as it is not as effective as it once was. It doesn't camouflage her as well as it used to. She is also sometimes wary of men, especially if they remind her of the one she used to love. It could send her into a flashback, and she would drop her guard making it easier for her to be attacked.

RP Sample: .Parvana ran down the street, her heels clicking softly on the rough pavement. She felt the presence long before she started to run, someone was watching her-waiting to strike. She could feel it boring into her skull like a dull knife. Her energy was low, and she wasn't prepared to put up a worthy fight. She skidded to a stop and leaned against a wall. The wall was warm-still retaining the heat from the daytime. Her chest heaved in the moonlight as her golden eyes scanned the dark streets.
"Nobody's there." She hissed to herself, punching the wall and biting her lip. She wanted to shout and kick and destroy everything around her. She hated feeling like she was being watched. Of course, she thought she was worthy to be watched, so the feeling of being paranoid was mixed with anger that she wasn't watched. She was such a conflicting woman. She pulled her hat off and ran her fingers through her white hair.
She needed an occupation, she was getting bored just wandering around. Something, anything to hold her attention. She slid down the wall and sat, thinking about her options. One was to disguise herself as something else and try living that life for a while, another was to invest in a temporary boy toy, and the other was to go on a killing spree. "Eh, killing doesn't sound fun anymore." She whined to herself, playing with the bows on her dress. She huffed as she stood, swinging her hips as she walked down the street.
Men didn't sound like a good plan at the moment either, it had been almost five years since her only real love turned on her and she was forced to kill him. She let out an aggravated growl and punched a wall, nothing seemed fun anymore. With a groan, she got onto her broom and took to the skies. She held onto her hat and let the cool night breeze flutter through her silky hair. She missed moments like these-moments when everything seemed to have a purpose, and her only purpose was to live and enjoy life.
