In fact she considers having friends to be a high priority, since being around people she trusts makes her feel safer, and thus is generally friendly (if a bit introverted at first). As long as one can deal with her Shaggy and Scooby-level cowardice and other eccentricities, she's definitely interesting company...and will be the first to warn others of any danger to their person, even if she may not be the type to subsequently jump in front of the bullet.

Though she doesn't want to make enemies (thus adding to her long list of things to be scared of), she obviously doesn't have the best reputation when compared to her more risk-taking peers and can get on the nerves of those who can't see things from her perspective.

That's not to say that she's incapable of having feelings for someone. It's more that she's inexperienced and wouldn't know how to react for a while, and when put up against the unknown her first instinct is usually to spazz out and run away from it.
