Patti walked around aimlessly, waiting for Liz and Kid. They were supposed to show up here, weren't they? She thought that was what they'd said, anyway. She could be wrong. But, then again, she didn't really care. It didn't particularly matter whether or not they came. She would have fun by herself, too.
Patti went to the swingset and took a seat. She then proceeded to swing her legs back and forth in a somewhat rhythm motion, swinging back and forth somewhat calmly. This was rather odd for Patti, who usually had a rather upbeat demeanor. Though the butterflies that had planted themselves on the flowers in the bushes nearby weren't complaining.
Ah, butterflies. Seeing them would always lift one's spirits. Yes, and unfortunately for them, Patti had caught one out of the corner of her eye. Her head turned toward them and her blue eyes glowed with happiness and excitability. They were so pretty! She just had to catch one.
Patti got up from the swing and started toward the bush. But, something stopped her for a few seconds. What was that her sister had once told her? Something about their wings. Oh yes, she'd said not to touch their wings or they wouldn't be able to fly anymore, and then they'd die. But then, if that was true, then how would she be able to catch them?
Patti frowned in thought. This was too hard. She'd just catch them, take them home, put them in a glass cage, and watch them. They wouldn't die if she was nice to them, right?
And so she waited for the right moment, then pounced. The butterflies were too fast, and they flew away. They were up in the air, flying from Patti. Patti chased them. It would give her something to do, at any rate, so while she waited, she chased butterflies.
