The sun outside was shining bright, the air was warm and the day had a nice, pleasant feel to it. By his parents definition, any Normal kid would be outside doing sports or walking around. Any Normal kid wouldn't be cooped up inside, wasting time. Any Normal boy wouldn't find literature more enlightening than football or soccer. It had always seemed to Dean that his parents had just made up these beliefs to be a polar opposite to everything that he wasn't. Sure it never bothered him, openly anyway, and it was times like these that he always had flashbacks to these conversations. It was also times like these, that he groaned internally and attempted to focus on the same paragraph he'd been on for 10 minutes. By himself, if he was supplied with a healthy supply of books, he would devour them like a victim of a particularly large cave collapse, and rescued after weeks of starvation just to be planted at a table in an all you can eat restaurant.
At this particular moment he wasn't frustrated, or angry. He was just slightly annoyed that every noise or movement grasped his attention. He would have just borrowed the book, but he hadn't wanted to read that much of it, just flick through a few pages. Dean had already took a few out he hadn't finished reading, and he didn't wish to aggravate the librarian in his first few days by adding more to his list. One of the joys he had felt after being accepted to Shibusen was to have access to it's library. Back at home, they only had a small run down building with enough books to last only a few hours. Not that it had mattered, only over 16's could create their own account and his "loving parents" had refused point blank to grant him such pointless pleasentries. The only reading time he had gotten was when his friends occasionally let him borrow their books. Such fleeting moments were micro sized in comparison the visual feast that lay before him now. Since reaching this thought it bugged him more that he couldn't get through this damned paragraph. Reading, someone walked past. Lost it. Reading, someone coughs. Lost it. Reading, people start talking by the shelves. Lost it.
He sighed out loud, closed his eyes and rested his head in his hands. Reading was his passion and he took it too seriously sometimes. Someone started hovering nearby, he wasn't sure what they were doing, but if he tried to read again their presence would infect his mind state. He sighed again and attempted a different approach. Dean sat up properly, relaxed his muscles and crossed his hands just infront of his Avenged Sevenfold t-shirt. 'Slowly now,' he thought to himself, and read through the page, word by word at a very slow pace.

The spectacle of the day. Kaylin McOlster was in the library! Now… Kit couldn’t say that she had exactly known what a library was. A girl from a traveling circus hanging out in the library? Yea… they had a library cart for the circus. Riiiggghhhhtt… But, a lot of kids seemed to want to go there. Every now and then, the young meister would hear children talking about it. ‘I need to go to the library, I have so much to do!’ ‘I’m going to the library with Max and Lilly, wanna come?’ Just different things she picked up. But why would students need to go there so badly? That was her mission! To find out! If others could go there, so could she. Not that she would be held back from this adventure if she knew she was not allowed… Kit needed to see this place of wonders and mystery. Needed to have her curiosity satiated.
And now she was here. Looking about the large room, she couldn’t believe what she saw. Books. Books everywhere. Books here, books there, books on shelves, books on tables, books with people, books on carts, books on floors… it went on and on and on. How in the world could people want to come here?! Sit here, in this prison, and just focus. Who knew for how long? Fifteen minutes? Twenty minutes? Lord death forbid, a half hour?! How could someone concentrate that long and not want to jump out that nicely placed window with lovely sunshine and a beckoning view? It was insane. (takes one to know one)
Still, Kit could not leave. There had to be more than this. A secret passage in the back that actually led to the library? This had to just be a cover-up. This couldn’t be the library right? Walking in and through, the girl made her way slowly through the shelves of books. She didn’t pay much attention to the people looking at the titles, or pulling some off the shelves. No, she was looking for the secret entrance! A smile had remained on this girl’s face the whole time, well… after the initial shock of this horror had surpassed her. These books were no fun!
Sadly, Kit’s slow pace did not last very long. A total of five minutes probably passed before she had enough of her careful searching. That’s when the girl took off. Down through the rows of books, up the stairs, on the ladders. Nothing was holding her back as she flew through this library. A joyous look on her face, a laugh escaping her lips every now and then, she was enjoying running through this stingy place. She would definitely find the secret hideout this way! Circling the place probably a dozen times, and successfully dodging the librarian about that many times as well, Kit came to a halt.
She had noticed someone as she had been running like a mad thing through the library. And the only reason she noticed is because it resonated with the thought on how unfun this library was. It was a boy. Though she didn’t noticed much about him except for one thing. He didn’t look particularly happy or joyful. Not that he looked angry or anything, just not like he was having fun. Maybe he couldn’t find the secret library either? Maybe they should look together!
These few seconds she had taken just to basically think on this kid. Her eyes were on him, but she really hadn’t been paying attention to what she was seeing. Her thoughts had taken up her concentration, no room for her eyes to process. Even now, she didn’t care enough to take in the boy’s appearance. He was a he, and this he was unhappy. That’s all she needed.
But first, she watched him. Not to what him but to figure out what he thought he was doing. Why would he search in this book for the secret entrance? Would there be a switch? A clue? Maybe! An excited smile spread on the girl’s face and she couldn’t help herself any longer. In a fraction of a second, she had closed the distance between herself and this boy. Directly in front of him, Kit moved to swipe his book clean from his hands. She wanted to see if she could find the clue!
“Did you find the library?!” She asked, her voice well above what it should be in a library setting, exciting bubbling up out of the girl like normal, an energy that she can never hold back.

"Emmm....what?" Dean's bemused tone leaked through his speech. He moved his charcoal black hair away from in front of his eyes. So this was the person who had been nearby. Dean immediately examined her voice, expression and action. In normal circumstances he would be asking her not to steal his book but something about this girl was unusual. She wasn't odd or weird, just something he had failed to encounter so far in his 15 years of life. She had sounded honestly excited at the prospect of finding the library but.....she was already in it. There had to be a misunderstanding of some sorts, some information that hadn't reached her. Dean wasn't sure that she'd ever been in a library before, not that he had either but he'd always wanted to.
Her loud tone had attracted nasty glances from fellow readers. and while he had never cared what people thought he still admired the way she wasn't paying attention to them and was engrossed in him and the book he had been reading. "Well, I'm not really sure what you mean." He attempted to explain cautiously, not one hundred percent sure how to approach this, "The library is....all around you. People come here to borrow books or just read them here, hell. Some people even come here to study or do work. Are you okay?" Dean left his question hanging in the air for a split second before continuing, "I'm Dean, and I'm a meister. It's very nice to meet you."
He slowly moved his hands forward and attempted to gently tug the book back without(he nearly shuddered at the thought) damaging it. It was a book explaining what soul wavelengths were in detail and in normal circumstances he would have been lost in it.

KAZALIN NATALIA BOGRE Brave Sir Robin ran away, Bravely ran away, away! When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled! Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about, and gallantly he chickened out!
| [atrb=border,00,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width, 556, true][atrb=style, background-color: #e4cca8] "'A sound soul dwells in'--....in...."
Kazalin had been meandering down the hall with her notebook tucked under one arm and a sheet of paper held parallel with her face in the other hand, reading aloud from the list of 'fill in the blank' questions she'd been given for a homework assignment. The current one wasn't immediately coming to mind and she pursed her lips with a frown, racking her brain. "...in a Demon Weapon who turns into a biiiiiig Carvin SG500 sound system with power amp and MAG1330 speakers!" A blink...then the girl quickly shook her head, sending a mix of red hair and little confetti-looking paper strips swishing. "No no no, that's not right..."
The work sheet was quickly moved as both hands lifted to press forearms against her head with a look of panic, moving to walk in a circle and looking as if she'd erupt into waterfall tears at any moment as she muttered to herself at a breakneck pace. "Auuugh, why can't I remember..?! I-I'm gonna fail..! Professor's gonna be mad and then I'm gonna get kicked out and I'll never be able to support myself any other way and Mom and Dad and Flip will disown me and I'm gonna die broke and alone in an alley somewheeeeereeeee....!"
Sniffling a bit, Kaz eventually eased out of her panic just enough to look at where exactly she ended up, only to realize that she'd been pacing in front of the neatly labeled doors to the library. T-the Library! S-she'd find the right book and study and not fail and not be expelled and not expire miserably! Sweet Providence!
Hastily this newly-hatched plan was executed as she made her way inside. It wasn't very often that Kaz came her; the place (and more so the people inside it) intimidated her, and so she'd usually just ask for help and stay around the front area instead of doing much looking around herself. Now, however, she was on a mission... Though the Weapon wasn't quite sure what book she was looking for, she practically jogged up a staircase and meandering down some rows of books, skimming across the spines in search of a title that sounded right. It had taken several minutes of walking and scouring before she came across a promising textbook, a bright smile crawling its way across her features as Kaz promptly yanked it off the shelf in victory. Great! Now to...
....Once again her features slowly fell as she glanced around her surroundings, which seemed to be nothing but rows and rows of bookcases. "W-where...am I...?" Kaz paled as she turned a corner only to find more rows. L-L-L-Labyrinth...?!?! She whispered harshly to herself, practically squeaking in fear. The girl had quite the phobia of mazes...
....And the whole Library would probably know about it instantly as the red and beige blur started bolting through the twists and turns in search of familiar ground, two waterfalls streaming in her wake. "Waaaaaaah....!!! I don't wanna die here and get found years later as a dried-up skeleton propped against a corner shelf help meeeee....!!

Dean was positively baffled by the noise ringing through the library, its not the event that confused him though. A girl had cried out the strangest of things and she sounded....lost? Well, it was a big library. It could happen, he supposed. He turned around searching for the direction it had come from. Using his soul perception he could just barely make out the source of the noise. He wasn't good enough to tell by voice, hell he couldn't even get an unblurry image, it was more the fact there was no one near her. Dean turned back to the person infront of him. "Would you excuse me a second. I need to go see if that person requires.....assistance." He choose the word very carefully, he judged it not too degrading or insulting. To be honest Dean had expected to be finished reading now, he'd also expected to be done with the book. Due to these unforseen tragic circumstances, he had no book mark. He also couldn't dog ear the page. No way in hell could he. If he folded the corner he'd probably kill himself later. In the case of books he was very obsessive. So, Dean did the only rational thing left to do. He stood up and tucked the chair under the table, book in hand and set out to help this person.
Wow, no wonder she got lost in here this...twisting...beautiful haven of books. It had many turns so you'd have to be the minotaur to know your way around it. Either that or be Theseus with a string. Fortunately, very fortunately. Dean could imagine string, and he also happened to be a literature minotaur. Ever since entering this maze of art he'd been remembering every turn he'd came along. His memory was so good with this that......and then it hit him. The most important detail that he had missed, somehow it was staring him in the face and he'd ignored it! So stupid, he could die right now.
he could have remembered the page number in the book....................
Gah! Too late now, he was nearly with her anyway. Just a few more corners aaaannnnd.... there she was. "Ummm hello?" He spoke gently, " Was it you that called out say....5 to 10 minutes ago?"

Kit didn’t lose a beat, even at Dean’s expression of confusion. The girl was looking quickly and frantically through the book that she had snagged from his hands. Somewhere in here… Somewhere… Something… She would find the clue!! A bright grin on her face, her hands still flipped through the pages, causing her almost to lose the words that he had spoken. All she heard was, ‘the library is all around you.’ First thing Kaylin thought, ‘like a dream?!’ An excited and barely contained look of eagerness crossed the girl’s face, slamming the book shut and letting the boy take it from her hands without a second thought.
It’s like another dimension! The library all around them? That’s all it could be, right? Kit’s mind was not about to wrap around the fact that this place of books, sitting still, and reading was her place of illusion and mystery. She could not accept that, not right now. But then his name caught her ears. Dean? Didn’t they have like a Dean of students or something? Was this kid powerful? Her eyes moved to him with a more focused look, but she didn’t take his form or figure in at all. She was trying to figure out how powerful he must be… But he just looked like a kid! “Meister as well.” She finally answered, a bit of a ‘calmer’ grin on her face. “Energetic Meister. I wield the demon scissors of shyness!” She laughed then, joy brought to her at the thoughts of her friend. Brachyura was a character.
Something caught both of their attention then. A female’s voice, or that’s what Kit assumed. Like she was crying or stressed. In this boring place? She must have found the entrance to the library! The wide and barely controlled grin and expression made its way across Kit’s face again. She would find the library! Before she completely realized it, Dean had dismissed himself and was on his way. She could only assume to find the girl. Isn’t that what a Dean of Students should be doing? Helping students with his power? They would find the entrance to the library.
Trailing behind him, Kit didn’t give up the search of the library so easily. While walking through the twisting aisles, she kept one eye on Dean and the other on books. Pulling various books off the shelves, leafing through them with intensity that one would be surprised that it didn’t fly into pieces, then she discarded it. Letting the book drop to the floor with a loud ‘thunk’.
It took some time, apparently the Dean didn’t know where he was going, because it took fooorrrreeevvvveeeerrrr! But eventually, she saw this odd red haired girl. Dashing through the library, having such fun! This was more like it. Jumping up and down in her spot, Kit kept her eyes on the girl, who would most likely stop and talk to the Dean. “Why so glum chum!” she laughed, not really thinking the girl was upset.

KAZALIN NATALIA BOGRE Brave Sir Robin ran away, Bravely ran away, away! When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled! Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about, and gallantly he chickened out!
| [atrb=border,00,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width, 556, true][atrb=style, background-color: #e4cca8] After running around for who knows how long looking for some kind of exit or familiar ground, the red-headed Weapon had almost hyperventilated and leaned forward against one of the stacks trying to catch her breath.
At least until another voice had suddenly piped up.
"Ummm hello?"
Startled, a yelp of surprise escaped as Kaz's hair bristled and she spun around as if expecting to see the ghost of a student that had gotten lost and died in the maze of books. "KYAAA-please-don't-haunt-me-I-don't-wanna-be-curs---!!!........eh?"
...A blink. That...didn't look like a ghost.
"Was it you that called out say....5 to 10 minutes ago?"
Another blink. After a moment's pause Kaz had moved to bite at her nails nervously, otherwise staring as if looking away would cause the other sign of life to disappear. "Y-y-y-y-you're real, right..? P-pleeeaaaase tell me you're not lost, too..."
"Why so glum chum!"
Another squeak had escaped as a girl had suddenly appeared as well, looking rather amused by the whole situation those Kazalin had no idea why given how terrifying the whole place was right now. H-how could anyone be so laid back in this death trap..?!
