On any normal weekend Slay might usually be out on the town somewhere getting into a few rumbles and then go out for some pizza. However today wasn't an ordinary break day for Slay. Nope, because today Slay had a mission, a mission of great importance and possibly one of the hardest missions he would ever have. He was going to train his new puppy Nero in the basket-ball court. I know what you're thinking, training? hard? Please. Well think what you will but there are some things even the all mighty Slay can't do without a little help.
Right now Slay was standing in the middle of the court with his little dark blue friend held safely in his arms. The puppies adorable emerald eyes would make even the toughest fighter look in aw. Slay placed his pet gently on the ground so he could adress him. As Slay crossed his arms the puppy stood on the concrete ground wagging his long tail as he looked up at Slay. It was time for some basic training, and Slay was determined to succeed. He gazed down at the puppy as if he was his student.
"Ok Nero, if you're gunna live with me you need to learn a few basic things. Number one: Fetching." The Meister then pulled out a squeaky toy from his jacket and showed it to the little wolf pup. Nero barked for joy as he arched his back and wagged his tail faster. Slay moved the toy around a little before throwing it across the court. Only what Slay didn't know was that somebody was walking in the direction of the thrown toy and Nero was running straight for it."Oh crap, watch out!" But it was too late, because by the time Slay got the sentence out the toy and Nero had already collided with the passing person. Slay walked over to the scene. "Hey sorry, are you ok?"

It had been an uneventful day for Mirei, one in which most of her time had been spent indoors doing nothing in particular besides reading, which yes, she did find enjoyable but a person could only read for so many hours before their eyes began to burn and their vision grew blurry. It was when this began to occur that she left her dark cool room for the heat of the outdoors, enjoying the warmth of the sun on her pale skin. She didn't really have any true purpose in heading outside, she was pretty much just wandering around, stretching her cramped legs, brushing up on some stealth techniques beneath the emerald green leaves of the the tall trees in the park. Still, it wasn't anything she found particularly challenging or entertaining and though she preferred her rather solitary lifestyle she couldn't help but feel lonely as she passed groups of students that were enjoying the break from classes.
It was times like these, walking beneath the trees, arm outstretched slightly as she ran her fingers over the rough bark of the trunks, taking in its texture beneath her highly sensitive touch, that she wished to have just one person to talk to, which was strange for her since she much preferred to just observe. But she was in one of her strange moods, neither happy nor sad, angry or depressed, not exactly content with things but at the same time being pretty much okay with things, it wasn't a feeling she was used to exactly and she wondered if that was why she was craving companionship, to distract herself from the almost uneasy feeling. As she glanced up at the leaves which she recalled would be making a rustling sound as the wind blew gently through them, the deep emerald canopy thinned out, more and more sunlight peering down through the more frequently occurring gaps until it finally fell upon her skin without resistance from the bright leaves. However as she observed this she suddenly found the ground rushing up to meet her and she collided with it, the hard substance beneath her body no longer rich brown earth but rough gray cement, the bland surface scraping what little skin she had exposed painfully and she knew in the morning there would no doubt be bruises marring it.
Mixed in with the rough texture of the ground she also felt something surprisingly soft, and she slowly glanced at whatever. Her own ice blue eyes immediately met bright emerald colored orbs which peered at her curiously. It was then that she discovered that no, the ground had not decided to suddenly trip her but a very young dog had, at least she thought it was a puppy, though it didn't quite look like a domestic canine with its dark blue fur and pointed ears, and she tilted her head slightly as she examined the wolf pup thing. Two feet appeared in her line of sight and she glanced up to look at whoever was now standing over her, one of her hands unconsciously reaching out to stroke the pup. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she saw the boy's lips moving but not being able to decipher just what he was saying. She hid her growl of frustration by speaking quietly but clearly in her ghostly musical voice. "I'm sorry but did you say something?"

It was a slightly surprising experience for Nero since he never fetched before not to mention had met many people besides Slay. But in this particular case of knocking someone over trying to get a squeaky toy, he was managing to stay pretty calm. He sat down on the strangers chest looking down at her face. Then as the stranger tilted her head the curious Nero did as well only lowering one ear for some unknown reason. As the stranger went to pet him Nero had closed his eyes and let out a slight grunt of enjoyment.
Shortly after Slay showed up. "I'm sorry but did you say something?" Slay bent down to pick up Nero with one hand as he offered his other to help the stranger up.
"Sorry about that, I was teaching him how to fetch and I..." Slay suddenly paused as he had just taken in the fact he was talking to a girl. Anyone who knew Slay well enough knew that he had a big problem with talking to girls. It isn't that he's timid (I mean c'mon this is Slay) but it was more of the fact that he didn't know how to deal with girls and because of this he tends to freeze up. Although Slay's "problem" has eased up thanks to his partner he still has a problem when talking to a girl.
If it wasn't for Nero's barks he wouldn't have snapped out of his funk. Oh, I'm sorry, are you ok Miss? I'm sorry about Nero...I'm trying to train him..."

At least she could now say that something somewhat eventful had happened to ease the dullness of her day so far, it didn't quite happen in a way she would have hoped for but she supposed it was better then nothing. And though she normally would have avoided all contact she gladly took his offering of help in regaining her feet, clasping his hand firmly with her own. Once she was all settled back on her feet she quickly dusted herself off, careful to keep her eyes on the boy before her in case he spoke, hoping that perhaps this time she could actually catch his words instead of just seeing incoherent movements of his mouth. She really didn't feel like having to keep asking him to repeat himself and by doing so she would most likely frustrate him to the point he just gave up in trying to speak to her at all. She really hated when that happened, it was on reason she tended to avoid dealing with others, when she couldn't quite keep up with the conversation they didn't understand why and instead thought her slow or something of that sort when in reality she was highly intelligent. After awhile she decided it was easier to keep her distance rather then deal with their snide glances or if they ever did find out the true reason behind her difficulty in communicating they looked at her with eyes full of pity. However she didn't want their pity, she scorned it, and this eventually led to her pushing other people away from her, well, that and a few other reasons.
And so she carefully kept her gaze on the boy's face instead of looking down at the ground as she would have preferred. "Sorry about that, I was teaching him how to fetch and I..." Well, this time the lip reading was going a bit better, though he spoke just a little too fast for her liking she managed to get the gist of what he was saying. And then quite suddenly it broke off, causing her head to tilt in confusion, she swore she couldn't have missed anything but he was no longer speaking and she didn't remember reading a completed sentence. Instead they just stood there for a moment, neither saying anything, in fact the he seemed to have a bit of a blank stare on his face. "Umm..." She tried to break the uncomfortable stillness but couldn't really think of anything to say. Well, this was turning out to be quite an awkward encounter, perhaps it was for the best if she avoided people if it was just going to turn out like this. However once his dog barked, at least she assumed that was what it did, he broke out of his stupor and spoke once again.
Oh, I'm sorry, are you ok Miss? I'm sorry about Nero...I'm trying to train him..." Nero, she glanced at the pup, so that was his name, he was a cute little thing and in all honestly she really didn't care that he had knocked her down, it was her fault for not watching where she was going anyways. "I'm fine, don't worry about it. He's young after all, he didn't mean anything by it."
