WEAPON
[/font]Name: Ashley Shaw,
Alias: Ash
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Weapon Type: Ashley's Weapon form is a rather unusual Gatling Shotgun. The Weapon is effective, if not slightly heavy, and requires a fair amount of strength to lift for an extended amount of time, although a better synchronization makes the Weapon easier to carry. The gun needs to warm up before the actual firing commences, a few spins of the barrels should be plenty enough. The gun can also overheat during time, and requires ten seconds of rest for every five seconds of non-stop firing.
When it comes to school brawls, he rarely likes to go full blast, since he'll always think about Liam De Rousse, and what he did to him. He'll usually hold back, usually letting his bullets only get enough power to sting for a few seconds. They don't draw blood, but if someone is barraged by enough at one time, they will usually leave an aching bruise.
Appearance:
Ashley is a tall boy standing at a large 6’2. He casts a shadow over many of the students that go to the academy. He is very tall for his age, because of a growth spurt when he was younger. He still has a little bit of growing to do, and is aiming for six foot 3 through to 6 foot five maximum. He is a good free-runner, which gives him the agility advantages among most people. His parkour skills are slightly lacking though, and he will misjudge jumps from time to time. He does free-running to help his perception react faster, and hopefully help it grow.
Ashley has very dark, pitch like hair which is washed five-six times a week and combed through every morning. He doesn’t cut his hair close, but allows it to grow a few inches. Ashley loves the colour of his hair (or what he can remember); black and ultra dark. To touch, one would describe it as soft, silky and fluffy. His eyes are a very pale whitish colour from blindness, and he doesn’t like to hide them. He can do just fine without them, but is constantly wishing he had his eye sight back.
Ashley dresses in a fresh manor, and in a classic style that suits him well. He loves dress shirts and jeans, and will always have a spare in his wardrobe. He likes jeans dark most of the time, although light can be better in some cases. He seems to suit his fashion well, and its something that is never going to be left behind. He makes sure to wash and clean all his clothes every few days. He looks better in black and white than any other colours, and all of his shirts do not look like curtains, they fit him perfectly and emphasize his shape quite a bit more than regular shirts.
However, amoung the shirts, he has one track suit for lazy days in when he has nothing better to do. This is usually is on empty weekends or during winters nights when it gets a little more colder than usual. He never tucks his shirt in and has a collection of jackets and vests that he spends hours choosing what goes with what. He is very picky when he has time, but if he’s in a hurry, he’ll throw anything on.
He has a few bracelets and watches, and one or two necklaces that he will put on when he can be bothered, like if he’s out for a stroll or his lucky wrist band when he is going on a mission. He also has a charm bracelet, one which his father gave him before he left. He puts a charm on it every time he a) completes a missions or b) has a new experience.
Ashley is very worried about his health a lot of the time, he finds himself brushing his teeth for 4 minutes straight every day and night, while also setting up a visual test in the park, to check if his perception has gotten better.
He has just about every vaccine and takes care of himself, and treats all scars with care. He looks after his skin well and has a strict timetable he adheres to like a freak. Going to bed at ten o’clock maximum on school night, and twelve o’clock on weekends.
Ashley Song's official body build is Mesomorph
The mesomorph has well-defined muscles and large bones. The torso tapers to a relatively narrow and low waist. The bones and muscles of the head are prominent. Features of the face are clearly defined, such as cheek bones and a square, heavy jaw. The face is long and broad, and is cubicle in shape. Arms and legs are developed and even the digits of the hand are muscled.
Everything crossed out does not appear in Ashley. He is made mesomorph by his ability to gain muscle quickly and has thick skin. He also shows traits of a skinnier, much more fragile ectomorph;
The extreme ectomorph may have long fingers, toes and neck are long. A pencil neck you could say. The features of the face are sharp, and the shape of the face is triangular. The lower jaw is somewhat receding. The skin tends to burn easily. Extreme ectomorphs may suffer from extremes of temperature. Due to the great body area in relation to muscle mass, the ectomorph may suffer from great heat, and due to low body fat, the ectomorph may suffer from great cold. The hair is fine and grows quickly and is sometimes difficult to keep in place.
Ashley has a potential of becoming completely mesomorph, but lacks the will to train often enough. Six hours in a week would give him a bit more brute force, but he rarely goes beyond four hours, due to his artistic nature. His hair is easy to keep, and his body is at a triangular shape, indicating almost impeccable health, beside his skin.
Ashley has learnt to adapt to extremes by inorganic means; in cold weather, take a large coat. In the heat? Hand-held fan, take your shirt off or do something archaic and dress like a Muslim woman.
Personality: Ashley is very welcoming young man with a love art and drama. He may start out shy and as quiet as a stream, but can sometimes come across as a very loud, boisterous character who loves to get to know people. He may also change moods quickly, depending if anything wavers him enough. He can be affected by attacks, crude comments and by other things unknown and way to complex for him to even understand.
He loves to read books, sometime re-read to understand the morals. He reads books three times; one for the enjoyment, another for the moral and a third time to understand the layout of a book, to grasp its subplot and main plot and how they clash in the climax. In some of his books you may find highlighted pages and notes, which in turn you will find in cooperated on a 50 page essay on enjoyment, structure and moral of that one book. He is not overly smart like Maka Albarn, but is more like someone who wishes to do something productive with their time beside sit on a bench.
He also spends other times drawing and painting, designing an interior or just doodling. He has mountain after mountain of doodle books, both expensive ones and some that look like a book from the local pound land. His art skills are vast, unlike his taste for books which only reside in crime, thriller and romance.
He studies the history of art, looking at how it is needed in day to day life. Once he gets into art, he doesn’t care about how much mess he makes, he could get the entire rainbow of chalk pastels of his shirt and he wouldn't care, he could even get acrylic over the carpet and graphite on the wall and he’d be singing and dancing trying to clean it up afterwards.
While he may be enthusiastic about art, he isn’t exactly good at it, mainly because his perception leaves him at a major disadvantage and can misjudge what he’s putting on paper. He has been know to scribble on table tops after believing it was paper, and can get into trouble for it quite often.
The same goes with reading and writing. He can muddle up words and isn’t good at learning new ones. He is sometimes called dyslexic, and can embarrass himself when he reads out loud, usually making trivial mistakes and not realising it until somebody tells him.
With friends, Ashley can be funny, outgoing and very loud. He likes to make everyone happy and can be a bit of the omega of a group settling rows and disputes with words and even forces people to make up and be friends again. This method isn’t always approved by friends, but works well and can be a very quick way of making a forging relationships.
Ashley hates to hear people in pain and can easily intervene and settle a problem. He can come across as a hopeless romantic, especially when it comes to girls he takes an interest in. If he likes someone more than a friend he will most likely try and make them guess, by becoming more physical like holding their hands and asking for hugs. Sometime he’ll buy them small things, like a drink or the cake they can’t afford. When he chooses someone, he judges two things; his heart, and just how he loves them.
The difference between love and romance are things humans hate to see, because we all want romance to be love.
Romance is when one person wants another person to manipulate someone into being open toward sex, while love is giving up everything for the sake of one person.
If Ashley notices his feelings toward someone is driven by romance (or lust) he will confront this person, tell them how he feels and walk away. This lets him get is feelings off his chest and he can move on without hurting anybody.
If he finds he would give up everything for the person he loves, he will begin the process of letting them know; starting out with small touches and buying small items that the someone he loves because they have just not enough to pay for it themselves.
He has a well-rounded talent for drama and performances, and can pretend to be a whole array of characters. He is confident and very fooling. He can convince people he is evil, when in fact he is practicing his acting skills. He can be a hobo, a Kishin, servant, noble, a stereotype British, a rapper, and rock star, you name it! He’ll do some of the most embarrassing things for the sake of acting and learning. He loves to perform and take part in productions, although the DWMA doesn’t plan any plays or dramas. Ashley likes to write scripts and act them out, showing a knack for putting twists on tales and turning harmless objects into weapons of murder. He is a very wide-ranged actor, although can be influenced by his stereotypes.
His love for music is both strong and wide, knowing almost no boundaries. He mainly listens to Jazz and Symphonic Metal among some. Being a boy with an open mind, he can listen to whatever and make an aesthetic judgment, but his judgment is always this; it’s good. Even if he hates it, he’ll still say its good for the pure fact he knows that someone out there will like it, therefore it isn’t bad.
Ashley has been to one or two concerts, not many on grand scales or much, but more of the lesser known bands, like Kamelot and Saxon (in their downfall).
Ashley isn’t fond of folk however, and rarely tries it. He will, however, put up with it.
If there’s one thing Ashley hates, it’s liars. They twist peoples minds, blind them from the truth and con them. He believes they are all disrespectful and that they are hiding themselves by hiding others. Liars in his view are people who are not in harmony with who they are, and should take time to realise that they need to look on and up, and take things slowly. Sure, lying can save grief and get people on the good side, but it is unnecessary. His best visual of this is war; there are two sides, and neither are wrong. The government tells us the casualties of their side, but not of the enemy or civilian deaths. This makes people grieve for their soldiers and go to war. They are lying to their people. Yet it is needed.
Ashley does not believe in conmen, tricking should not be used to convince people to buy, use, or join anything.
Ashley hates this, and ignores it as much as possible.
The bad bit about Ashley is that he is a little hasty when it comes to people, he'll try and find as much information on them as possible. This can be unnerving for some people, and he may present himself wrong. He likes people in general, that's why he wants to know people, he loves them. He is a person who will tell you most things about himself and if you don't tell him as much, he'll keep nagging you for it. He likes to see it as curiosity, but some people see it as 'stalker'.
Another point is that he will stick to what he sees best. If he says he's not going to do anything, he won't do anything. It's the way he rolls. People can get irritated by his stubborn way, and usually he'll wind people up for it. He‘s also very clumsy, and will knock and break things all the time, and will sometimes walk into the wrong rooms, especially at the academy.
History: Ashley was born to Harriet Shaw on the 3rd November 1994 in Norway with the last name 'Borne'. Harriet was a British born middle class woman who worked for various publishers and magazines as a free-lance photographer and journalist. She spent most of her life in different parts of the world, recording and writing anything interesting that happened. She met her husband, Carlisle Shaw on a trip to Norway, at which the two bumped into each other and just started talking. The two stayed in contact and got married three years later in Oslo, Norway and Harriet moved in with her husband.
Carlisle was a gentle spirit, although he loved nature to no avail. He worked at a conservation agency, usually running errands that included wading around the wilderness looking for anybody that would cause disturbance in the area. He loves his job, usually brining back an unusual plant he'd found or a funny looking rock.
At first, the thought of children never cross their minds. They never discussed it or wanted to. This was probably why it came as a shock when Harriet found out she was pregnant. She and Carlisle decided to keep the child, because it wasn't a nasty surprise and they seemed eager to try out something new.
A few months later, Ashley Shaw was born. He was somewhat a silent sufferer, never giving out some much as one cry as an infant, which caused his parents more stress than if he started wailing every time something little was out of place.
Ashley grew up as a quiet and shy boy to begin with, at school he didn't talk to anybody and hated being surrounded. Eventually, people started talking to him, and he got more outgoing and louder. Eventually he got to loud and was told off on more than one occasion. He went from being the silent lone kid to being a popular boy who everybody knew. Some people didn't like him, some thought he was cool, other just couldn't be bothered. Ashley was the same, but he made it more obvious. In particular to a younger child who had weak vision and couldn't talk to well called Liam La Rousse.
Ashley was cruel and horrible to him, regularly tripping him up and taunting him. This went into secondary school, where the bullying continued. The teachers knew nothing about it, and nor did the parents of either Ashley or Liam.
Ashley began to steal his money and work, burning his belongings and throwing pencils and paper at him. Liam became depressed and stopped talking, and would walk through the hallways, not bothering to take care of people in his way. This enraged Ashley, secretly jealous that Liam could live with his weaknesses.
After school when he was in the second year, about thirteen years old, Ashley and some friends dragged Liam to a remote area. Ashley and some other boys beat him up, and eventually they came to be shocked.
Liam had told his father about the incidents taking place at his school, and had been given spiked knuckles dusters. Liam struck back at Ashley, striking him in the face. It was because of this that Ashley went blind.
His parents disciplined him heavily, and his parents friends -who had previously attended the academy- taught him how to sense his surroundings. Ashley had shown a weak talent for the ability after being able to tell when a large object passed in front of him. Sarah Douglas -a previous meister- constantly encouraged Ashley to exerciser the ability until he could sense smaller objects and make his way around the town.
During his time being blind, about nine months later, Liam came back to apologize to Ashley, who was so freaked out and scared that Liam would do something else that he ended up transforming.
Liam spent time with Ashley, giving him lectures until Harriet and Carlisle decided to send him to the DWMA for training when he was fifteen. Ashley went alone, and because of his experiences, became an entirely different person. He changed who he was and continued with his life at the DWMA, being a much more accepting person. He doesn't -lijke most blind people- wear classes to cover his paling iris'.

Blind Sense: Because of Ashley's blindness, he was trained by family friends to use an adaptation of Soul Perception to an extent. The adaptation removes sensing the type of souls around him, but he can sense words, colours, people and doorways and objects, but he still cannot see them. This makes him slow if he is unaware of where he is, but if he is somewhere familiar, it's like playing the first level of a Nintendo platform game for the two hundredth time over.
He cannot sense souls, no matter how strong they are.
Performance: Ashley is a fast and accurate fighter, using his ability to sense vibrations to time attacks. While not delivering blows that make considerable impact, he can bring them faster and make up for the lack of strength he possess. He can keep up momentum in a fight and in weapon form is always encouraging a Meister, even when the task at hand seems impossible.

RP Experience: How long have you been RPing?
Password: It's in the rules. Go find it.
RP Sample: It wasn't so bad. Moving to somewhere new was easier than he'd expected, and he'd welcomed it to say the least. Getting away from everybody who could lecture him until he was depressed. That was what being at home had been like for the past few years. If they wanted him to learn, they could have just done it in a nicer way? Being shouted at wasn't as effective when you couldn't see the anger in the persons face.
It wasn't inaccurate to say that he missed his eye sight. He couldn't make any sense of the aeroplane, the movements made him feel sick and he couldn't sense anything but people and leather seats. It frustrated him that by taunting someone with bad eyesight he ended up blind. What an irony that was. and also very cruel. He couldn't help but think from time to time that it was unfair, and then he'd realize how long he'd ruined Liam's life and go back to accepting what had happened.
His eyes were turned to the window, and while he could sense the wall, everything beyond it was blank. Like there was nothingness outside, space. It freak him out- how he longed to be back on the ground were the vibrations sang and there were enough forms for him to lose track of. That was the good thing about the ground. You were never alone. And this plane was almost empty, and the people never moved once. A small shuffle here and there, once or twice they get up and go to the toilet, but that was about it.
The sounds were little comfort. Even the low hum of the engine wasn't enough to send him to sleep, plus the uncomfortable position he was in, but due to the heavy silence, he dare not move in case it draw attention to him. He missed the crowed mountains of Norway; the endless forests and the calls of moose in the valleys and glades. Now he was headed for the city; intense heat and busy streets. This would be interesting to see.
