Mifune is fairly tall and lean. He wears an expression of severity when engaged in combat, and a sort of indifferent calm expression when he is going about his daily life. His hair is shoulder length and shaggy. It is the color of sand on a beach, a dark tan color that goes well with his slanted, deep brown eyes. His face is oval-shaped, with a sharp, yet defined, chin. He is seen typically with a piece of stiff straw in his mouth, until he is in danger of losing a fight, only at this time will he remove the straw.
He wears several different types of clothing, but one thing that remains the same are his sandals. Mifune wears a pair of brown flip-flops in all of his outfits. His pants are either dark green or gray, depending on his mood or what he feels like wearing. He wears the dark green pants with an untucked, white, collared shirt and a long brown jacket on his shoulders. When he wears the gray pants, he wears a long-sleeve T-shirt with the word OSAMURAI on the breast, this literally translating to "Great Samurai".
He is frequently seen carrying a large scabbard filled with several katana and wrapped with caution tape reading, "KEEP OUT". Sometimes, he will even carry a loose katana out of this scabbard.
His soul is incredibly large for a human and is wrapped in caution tape that also reads, "KEEP OUT".
Personality: Mifune is your traditional Samurai. He is a strong, silent type with few words. Although stoic, he is a very caring person, especially when it comes to children. Mifune loves children and even entertained the idea of becoming a teacher at Shibusen when it was suggested by Tsubaki and Black Star. Although, then he was embarassed over the idea. His favorite things in the world are swordsmanship and children, and he will go to any length to protect children, such as when he joined Arachnophobia to protect Angela Leon from Mosquito's clutches.
Mifune tends to be lax about his life, preferring to sit or lean against walls in a contemplative stance than to worry himself over the many different complications of existence. The only exception to this is when Angela is in danger, or when he gets into a serious battle.
Mifune is a firm believer in honor and sees himself as a protector of the weak and innocent. He fights Black Star in order to teach him that the pursuit of power should not engulf the other aspects of his life, but rather the pursuit of power should come from a noble goal in life. The warrior or soldier's way.
History: Mifune was at first employed by a powerful mafia family as a bodyguard for their higher-ups. Even then he had a powerful love of children, offering the family's children sea-weed flavored candies, similar to the one he later offered Maka Albarn. One day, however, the samurai was requested to kidnap a witch named Angela Leon for the mafia family to use for their own benefit. They wanted her power, and so he went to procure this power for them. Upon taking out the rival family and seeing Angela for the first time, however, he realized that she was only a child and therefore he could not bring himself to harm her for the sake of these grown men who would simply exploit her.
So, instead of taking her back to them, he offered her candy and left the family vowing to protect Angela no matter the cost. This at first led him to a large castle far away from the hustle and bustle of your average town and city where he could watch over Angela with few intrusions. One day, however, several thugs and their leader, going by the name of Al Capone, a notorious gangster and new Kishin Egg, arrived in order to steal Angela. Mifune quickly dispatched this nuisance and continued his job guarding Angela.
Eventually, however, a child with spiky teal-colored hair came along, disturbing their peace yet again. Mifune quickly engaged the youth in combat and was going to be a clear victor until it would appear that he fell to the youth's superior tactics. Black Star used the Dummy Star to land Black Star Big Wave on Mifune. You find out later that Mifune was going easy on Black Star due to him being a child.
After this defeat, Mifune goes on to join Arachnophobia when Angela is essentially taken hostage by Mosquito. He goes to work for Arachne who uses him as an asset. During Sid's invasion of the Arachnophobia base to destroy the Moral Manipulation Machine, Black Star takes matters into his own hands to take revenge against Arachne for immobilizing Maka in their fight. And this attack alerts everyone in the base to Black Star's presence.
Mifune is called upon to take care of Black Star, and so Mifune fights Black Star for the second time, noting how Tsubaki is a fine weapon. It is just before this fight that Tsubaki suggests that Mifune become a teacher for his love of children. This causes Mifune to blush and imagine.
Anyway, in this fight, Black Star is dominated by Mifune when he uses Addition of Blades and Multiplication of Blades to finish Black Star with a superb and flashy show of superior swordsmanship.
Later, Arachnophobia was engaged in a battle with Shibusen to get the Demon Tool BREW, whose power was said to be so immense that it created an electromagnetic twister in the center of the island, destroying its previous inhabitants. Mifune was also here, fighting for Arachnophobia when he confronted Sid's advance squad from Shibusen. The battle was fierce with both parties taking severe wounds, but at the end they agreed to let each other live when the retreat was called. It is clear that they both respect each other as warriors.
Then, Mifune and the Arachnophobia move to Baba Yaga's castle where the final battle between Mifune and Black Star will take place. Black Star makes a bee-line for Baba Yaga's castle, taking out all of the guards and henchmen he crosses along his path until finally he is crossed by Mifune. Mifune notes Black Star's lust for power where he is consumed by the "Demon's way". Mifune bests Black Star in combat forcing Black Star down into his own subconscious where he comes to see Mifune's "Soldier's way". When Black Star stands up, him and Mifune have one final showdown consisting of a single slash where the winner would be the victor of their battles.
The winner was Black Star, and Mifune led Black Star and the rest of the team to Baba Yaga's castle to battle the Kishin.
After the Kishin was defeated, at Black Star's urging, Mifune joined Shibusen as a teacher.
Abilities:
- Three Shining Paths - Mifune leaps high into the air and sends three swords (technically it could be any number of swords provided he can hold them) plummeting to earth, planting them in the ground. He may then run along the hilts of these swords and pick up another one for a swift attack against his enemy.
- Addition of Blades - Mifune rapidly strikes his opponent with a series of twelve blows with twelve different swords. He utilizes the opponents temporary weakness to gather his next weapon and strike. The final result of this attack leaves the enemy covered in twelve swords. (Though technically, this too could be done with more swords.)
- Multiplication of Blades - This attack is only performed after using Addition of Blades. To use this technique, Mifune gathers a sword and strikes the twelve swords surrounding his opponent with one swift motion, effectively doubling the number of strikes.
- Sword Fang - Mifune strikes three of his blades (although technically this could ALSO be more), sending them slicing upwards like fangs.
- Vertical Line - After using Sword Fang, Mifune may strike the blades he tossed into the air to send them flying at the opponent.
- Swift Rush - This is an inferred ability of Mifune's that is displayed in his final fight versus Black Star where he spits out his straw/toothpick and charges at Black Star as swiftly as the wind. It is your classic Samurai move that utilizes common Samurai techniques such as battou-jutsu (Quickdraw Technique) and showcases his incredible speed and focus. This move is typically a last resort for finishing battles.
Performance:
- Excellent mobility
- Incredibly strong with Adaptive Techniques
- Protects the weak, especially children, at all cost, even self harm
- Can be caught off-guard fairly easily (Black Star's Dummy Star)
Fighting Style: In battle, Mifune uses his Infinite One Sword Style to maneuver around the battle field wreaking havoc with his raw power and mastery of the sword.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

RP Sample: It was a lazy day, and the clouds were rolling by so slowly that everything seemed to stand still in the eyes of Mifune. The Samurai was gazing at the sky attempting to identify objects in the cloud formations. From his spot laying on the rooftop of Shibusen, you'd never have imagined that he was preparing for a job interview with Shinigami-sama himself. He was nervous, but not to the eye of the average beholder. His brown eyes darted across the sky as if they were in search of something.
'Hmmm, these clouds,...', he thought to himself, 'these clouds remind me of the children.' As he thought this, a cloud in the shape of a star floated wantonly across the heavens, a vagrant in the deep blue ocean. His mind was seized immediately with thoughts of Black Star and he smiled. Mifune was sure to have his hands full with that one once he started classes. 'Classes,...' All the children watching him, depending on him for instruction that may determine the very fate of their lives, it took him by surprise that he was suddenly asked to fill this position.
All that was left now was to head to the Death Room. He picked up his sword and, strapping it at his side, walked into the halls of Shibusen. He walked down a long, winding hallway until finally he arrived at a large set of double-doors and, being greeted by Spirit Albarn, was ushered inside.
About thirty minutes later, Mifune walked out of the room wearing a satisfied smile, he'd been accepted. Although he wasn't one to worry, it still felt as though a giant weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. Next week he'd begin his work as a teacher on the wonderful campus of Shibusen as a combat training instructor. Perhaps he'd even see some familiar faces in the class. He smiled again, remembering that familiar star-shaped brand.
"I'll be waiting."
